Who is Michael Jimenez?

Michael joined the Krishnan Team in October and is eager for the opportunity to expand his business into San Francisco. An avid dog lover, Michael grew up in the Bay Area and moved from San Francisco to the coastside about five years ago, where he lives with his wife Heather and their beloved dachshunds. While Michael comes from a real estate family, what really inspired him to become a real estate agent was when after buying his own home, he realized he could help others by fulfilling their goals of homeownership while offering an unparalleled customer service experience.

Michael’s Method

Michael’s success is about using a systems approach. He is highly organized and he knows what works and has a proven track record of success. “I’m not a salesperson,” he adds. “I’m a consultant, and when you’re ready to buy a property, I’m your strategist. If you’re motivated I will get you into a home.” People think of Michael as “tenacious,” the guy who is going to get things done. “Ultimately, what I love most about being a buyers specialist is the satisfaction of getting my clients into the home they absolutely love.”

Listening Is His Secret Sauce

“I love to find out my clients motivation” he says. By asking the right questions, and actively listening, he’s able to quickly determine which homes would be a good fit for his clients. “I’m a matchmaker. My clients are often surprised when they want to make an offer on the first home I show them! Since we’ve already done the heavy lifting up front, we’re able to quickly strategize the most competitive offer.”

“It’s all in the details.” He’s attentive, knows the numbers and neighborhood nuances, and he loves strategizing winning offers. “I’m super dedicated,” says Michael. “Especially on the buyers side, you have to be on all the time, it’s a lifestyle. I’m just on it. I’m involved throughout the transaction, from consult to close, and I make customer service a top priority.”

We asked Michael why he loves being a buyers agent. “It’s simple. By design, my primary focus is on helping people realize their goals of home ownership while making the experience enjoyable for them.”

2019 Real Estate Trends

Michael feels the market is shifting, “We may be heading into a shift, potentially into a buyers market. It’s been a sellers market for years, but there are signs things are shifting. We have a lot more days on market, we are seeing less agents setting offer dates, and homes seem to be getting priced more accurately. If we see more inventory in January, coupled with interest rates bumping up, it could lead to real estate prices kind of flattening. And excess inventory always bodes well for buyers,” Michael says.

Hobbies and Community Work

In addition to his dedication to selling real estate, Michael and his wife Heather enjoy getting out into nature with their dogs, dining out at local dog friendly restaurants, and supporting local animal rescue organizations like Muttville, a senior dog rescue in San Francisco, and Sweet Farm an animal sanctuary in Half Moon Bay. “We’re definitely big advocates of Muttville and Sweet Farm, and are grateful for all the work they do to save animals in need.” says Michael.
