Lauren Neuschel is a dedicated buyer’s agent and loves what she does! Working with buyers takes a lot of hustle, patience, empathy, and honesty – all of which come naturally to Lauren. Not to mention, she comes from a Realtor® parent – the business is in her blood and it has always felt more like a deep-seated passion than a job.
Moving into real estate from a top management consulting firm, Lauren has a strong background in client services, analytical thinking, and problem-solving (plus long hours!). For Lauren, there is nothing greater than actively listening to a client’s needs and going above and beyond to make sure they are exceeded.
An avid runner and former Division One runner, she embodies hard work, consistency, and grit in many aspects of her life. Fun fact: In 2023, Lauren completed the World Marathon Challenge, running seven marathons on seven continents in seven days!
Lauren lives with her husband near the beach in the Outer Richmond. She spends her free time running, hiking, antiquing, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Our team brings together more than 35 years of combined experience and are experts at helping people buy and sell homes in San Francisco. There is nothing more important to me than delivering the highest level of customer service possible.
We have six full time staff including two buyer agents and two listing agents. With a team like this you are getting more attention and value than any other team in the business.
"The TL;DR: I've told every person I know about how great it was to work with Lauren Neuschel and strongly recommend her to anyone considering home buying in the area.
We've been in our house a little over two months and we've spent pretty much the entire time thinking about how lucky we got both finding our home and finding Lauren. First, she very clearly laid out the process to expect in our very first meeting. It was organized, strategic, and extremely insightful. I got more out of that first meeting than I did in the 4 months prior "working" with an agent we met at an open house.
Back to Lauren: soon after the first meeting, she sent us an exercise that involved reviewing recently sold homes and selecting the ones that we would have purchased at the sale price. That exercise and Lauren helped us understand what was in the realm of possibility.
When it came to looking at open houses, she was organized, efficient, and attentive to our feedback. When it came to determining home value and what we're willing to pay, she walked us through a comp exercise comparing the price per square foot of living space. For me, that was one of the most helpful metrics in the whole process.
But the best part of the whole process was (spoiler!) finding our home, getting our under-asking (!) offer accepted, and then a closing process that left me feeling calm and confident thanks to Lauren's competence and thoroughness. We decided to see our house in person after ignoring it for a few weeks. We went to see it at 8 am on a Wednesday and... *star eye emoji.* It was the first time my husband and I immediately agreed that we needed to make an offer right then and there.
That night, Lauren recommended that we offer under asking, put together an incredibly thorough and thoughtful offer package, and explained the purpose of *every* *single* document in the offer paperwork. She also recommended we submit it first thing the next morning and set a deadline of 12 pm. That's an important detail because not only was our offer accepted, we were told that the sellers received their only other offer 5 minutes after we ratified. [sweat emoji]
Like everything else, the closing process was also a breeze thanks to Lauren. She sent us clear and specific instructions and updates along the way, and just made what's normally a stressful experience feel smooth. Oh, and the Krishnan Team sent us pizza the night we moved in and left us a very sweet housewarming gift! It was all just really great."
"TLDR: Lauren was fantastic to work with and I would highly recommend her as well as the broader Ruth Krishnan team! Ridiculously responsive, empathetic, genuine, well-informed agent who was instrumental in all phases of our purchase, from search to offer to escrow.
My husband and I decided to explore buying our first home in early 2023, despite being very satisfied with the rental we'd been in for a decade.
From our intro call with Lauren, we felt we had someone very empathetic to our situation who would not try to push her own agenda. She recognized that we were unsure and reassured us that we could work with her and see what was out there without feeling pressured to buy.
From day one it was clear she knows SF top to bottom, and it made us feel great to have someone who knows the more niche neighborhoods we were looking into around Glen Park, Twin Peaks, Ingleside, and Excelsior.
Mid-way through our search we decided to broaden to also include Oakland. Despite that not being Lauren's main territory, she stuck with us anyway. When we unexpectedly stumbled on a house we both loved and wanted to put an offer on, Lauren sprung to action even though it was a Sunday evening, and in the end those precious minutes definitely counted!
We ended up having to contend with one other offer, and again Lauren displayed the same level of integrity as she had throughout, giving us our options while always staying sensitive to our budget.
Once our offer was excepted, Lauren organized our escrow to-do list, put us in contact with the right people, and clearly documented everything. This was a hectic and scary time, but she always downplayed the drama and made it much less daunting than it ought to have been.
Throughout everything it genuinely felt like she cared about our happiness, and was genuinely happy for us when it worked out, and we couldn't have asked for more than that."
"Summary: We could not have been happier working with Ruth's Team. As our buyer's agent, Lauren's expertise and commitment exceeded all of our expectations.
We began our house search in summer of 2022. The housing inventory had decreased compared to the previous years, and interest rates were on the rise so we needed a team that would work tirelessly to get us into a house in this tight window.
We reached out to the Krishnan team and were greeted with a warm and inviting email the same day to schedule a time to meet by Zoom. Ruth and Lauren exuded professionalism and confidence that affirmed our decision to buy in an unstable market.
The Krishnan team specializes in the SF market and offers data-driven counsel to enable you to make the best choice. Furthermore, they maintain a very intentional client list to be able to provide the most personalized service.
Ruth predicted that we would be in contract within a month. Lauren anticipated that at our budget in our preferred neighborhoods, it could be a stretch, but that she would do everything she could to make it happen. Both of these predictions were spot on!
Lauren was a true partner in the buying process and deeply understood the needs of first time buyers. Her patience and willingness to educate reassured us at every step of the journey. She seemed to always be working and was super attentive to our needs. Lauren tailored her search to our specific criteria and noted our preferences and concerns during our tour of open houses.
During the offer process, Lauren was meticulous about reviewing every document and ensuring that we fully understood the scope of the material. What was most impressive was how Lauren crafted a competitive strategy that positioned us to make a winning offer.
Her commitment to us didn't stop at closing. Lauren followed through on providing us with referrals for any service on the house. She even anticipated how hectic moving day would be and bought us dinner on our first night in our new home!
Working with Lauren was a true blessing."
