My diverse investment portfolio includes residential real estate and commercial syndications. I’ve shared my knowledge on national stages in front of passionate agents, in tech company conference rooms, and with top-rated financial planners.
One of my favorite success metrics, however, is how much I’m able to give back. Since my first sale, I’ve been donating 5% of my income to nonprofits. If any are close to your heart, I’d love to hear about them. I’m always looking for new ways to be involved.
Growing up in the Midwest, my eight siblings and I didn’t have much. That gave me grit, taught me how to work hard, and gave me the ability to problem-solve from multiple perspectives.
When I moved to San Francisco in 2002, I knew I was home. Before real estate, I’d had a sales career, held leadership positions, and ran my own interior design firm. I constantly seek improvement, and I love a challenge. I believe life is about growth, and coaching is one of the biggest investments I make in myself and my business.
When I’m not working, getting after a personal goal, or masterminding with other entrepreneurs, you might find me biking on the Great Highway, hiking at Land’s End, or dining at Robin, Al’s Place, or Rooh. My husband, two sons, and I love to travel — we’ve been around the world, and we regularly head to Tahoe to enjoy the outdoors.
Our team brings together more than 35 years of combined experience and are experts at helping people buy and sell homes in San Francisco. There is nothing more important to me than delivering the highest level of customer service possible.

Yesenia is a dedicated realtor, a selling specialist and a San Francisco native who knows the city like the back of her hand. Valerie is the Krishnan teams’ Operations Manager and the rare person who can remain deeply detail oriented while moving faster than anyone else. True to form, Valerie is involved in nearly every detail of each listing from start to finish. For the client, this translates to multiple levels of communication from Valerie as she coordinates vendor appointments, oversees the project management, manages budgets and ensures flawless execution.
This fast paced variety is what drew Valerie to real estate in the first place, knowing that the dynamic market of the Bay Area would allow her to reach her full growth potential. Every day, Valerie is moved by the homes she represents – whether it be in enabling each home to become even more lovely through the process of readying it for market or enabling each client to find their dream home through the sales process. She is deeply committed to ensuring that each client has the best possible outcome and the best experience with the Krishnan team.
Valerie lives in Burlingame with her room-mate and enjoys dancing, boxing boot camps and the beauty and diversity of the Bay Area.
Lauren, is the lead on The Krishnan teams’ buy-side management. An avid runner, and collegiate athlete, she brings to real estate all the qualities she brings to her sport – limitless passion, relentless commitment and a knowledge that she will not rest until the job is done. Joining the Krishnan team from a top management consulting firm, Lauren brings a strong background in client services. She doesn’t shy away from hard work, high stakes, and a fast pace.
From start to finish, Lauren is involved in nearly every detail of getting buyers their new home. For Lauren, there is nothing greater than actively listening to a client’s needs and going above and beyond to make sure they are met. She is relentless and reliable and always keeps the client at the forefront of her mind.
A born-and-raised Chicagoan, Lauren moved to San Francisco with her husband, a Bay Area-native. She lives near the beach in the Outer Sunset, and can’t get enough of the sights and smells of the Pacific Ocean.
Lejla Ahmetspahic is at the organizational heart of the Krishnan team. She manages the listings, works with sellers, and implements all the details that make you successful.
Lejla grew up in the Bay Area and even today, is entirely in love with the diversity of its people, its small size that packs the punch of beauty with grit and ambition.
Communicative and a self described “people person”, Lejla grew up in the real estate world, helping within the family business of renovation and home sales. She got her real estate license while still in college, and her favorite part of her job is ensuring that the Krishnan team clients have their real estate wishes fulfilled.
Lejla speaks Bosnian – and her family arrived in the Bay area and established a home flipping business – so from understanding the value of a property to gauging its finishes to managing its curb appeal – Lejla has done it all, and will do it again and again to ensure client satisfaction for the Krishnan team.
Kathy is the Krishnan team’s listing coordinator and the team’s go-to girl for anything that needs to get done in a hurry. She manages listings, works with sellers, and assists the whole listing team with any and all details needed to make sure our clients have a smooth experience.
Kathy is a California native. Originally from southern California, she spent her formative years in the Bay Area and could not imagine living anywhere else. As a recent resident to the city of San Francisco, Kathy loves being able to explore and get to know the city in a whole new way. To Kathy, the Bay Area’s culture, people, sights, food and values are unmatched.
Kathy speaks Vietnamese; her family arrived in California as refugees after the Vietnam War and were determined to live the American dream. Today, they own a number of Vietnamese restaurants in the East Bay. Having grown up working in restaurants her whole life, Kathy knows what it means to work hard everyday to ensure customers are happy and takes that philosophy into real estate to make sure our clients have a stress free experience.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys cooking, baking, musical theater and collecting plants.
Philanthropy and community involvement are very important to me. Through volunteer efforts and charitable donations I am committed to giving 5% of my income each year to a wide variety of local organizations and have been doing so since our very first sale.
