Real estate is about making sure my clients win, delivering an extraordinary level of service, and doing the right thing.
Since 2009, people have been leveraging my real estate and design expertise to command high prices and identify hidden opportunities. I ask smart questions, analyze the hard facts, and make straightforward recommendations tailored to your situation. Then, I deploy the best marketers, creatives, tradespeople, and tech in service of your goals.
My client list is small, which means you’ll have my full attention. But my team is not, which means we handle the 100s of details in your transaction while you handle your life. And, our long-standing relationships with SF’s top agents give you access to the 25% of deals done off-market. You can leave the stress of buying and selling to us — we won’t rest until you are delighted.
I’m proud to rank in the top 10 out of over 5K San Francisco agents and elated that The Wall Street Journal recently ranked my team No. 65 nationwide. My sellers earn an average of 8% above listing price, and 86% of my buyers get into contract on the first or second offer. In 2021, I had $166 million in sales, adding up to over $650 billion in career sales.
My diverse investment portfolio includes residential real estate and commercial syndications. I’ve shared my knowledge on national stages in front of passionate agents, in tech company conference rooms, and with top-rated financial planners.
One of my favorite success metrics, however, is how much I’m able to give back. Since my first sale, I’ve been donating 5% of my income to nonprofits. If any are close to your heart, I’d love to hear about them. I’m always looking for new ways to be involved.
Growing up in the Midwest, my eight siblings and I didn’t have much. That gave me grit, taught me how to work hard, and gave me the ability to problem-solve from multiple perspectives.
When I moved to San Francisco in 2002, I knew I was home. Before real estate, I’d had a sales career, held leadership positions, and ran my own interior design firm. I constantly seek improvement, and I love a challenge. I believe life is about growth, and coaching is one of the biggest investments I make in myself and my business.
When I’m not working, getting after a personal goal, or masterminding with other entrepreneurs, you might find me biking on the Great Highway, hiking at Land’s End, or dining at Robin, Al’s Place, or Rooh. My husband, two sons, and I love to travel — we’ve been around the world, and we regularly head to Tahoe to enjoy the outdoors.
Our team brings together more than 35 years of combined experience and are experts at helping people buy and sell homes in San Francisco. There is nothing more important to me than delivering the highest level of customer service possible.
We have six full time staff including two buyer agents and two listing agents. With a team like this you are getting more attention and value than any other team in the business.
Yesenia is a dedicated realtor, a selling specialist and a San Francisco native who knows the city like the back of her hand. For a real estate client – this translates to specific knowledge of the bay area home market, as well as with the current and future shifts within the city and its market. At the Krishnan team, Yesenia has very successfully dealt with a variety of properties and understands the complexities involved in the buying and selling process. She does not measure her success through achievements or awards, but she considers the clients’ joy and satisfaction her real motivation.
Yesenia’s favorite real estate moment is when she calls a client with news of a win. As a child of parents who ran property management, Yesenia inherently understands that real estate is much more than just a transaction: it’s an experience that will transform your life. To that end, she is committed to providing exceptional and personalized service for all her clients and takes great pride in her skills of building strong and trustworthy relationships.
Yesenia pledges to stay in constant communication with you throughout the process. She invests her time in understanding your priorities and fine-tunes her services accordingly. Yesenia believes that if you’re not left with a fantastic experience, she hasn’t done her job.
Yesenia lives in South Beach, and loves the city beaches, urban hikes and the Ferry Building Farmer’s Market.
Valerie is the Krishnan teams’ Operations Manager and the rare person who can remain deeply detail oriented while moving faster than anyone else. True to form, Valerie is involved in nearly every detail of each listing from start to finish. For the client, this translates to multiple levels of communication from Valerie as she coordinates vendor appointments, oversees the project management, manages budgets and ensures flawless execution.
This fast paced variety is what drew Valerie to real estate in the first place, knowing that the dynamic market of the Bay Area would allow her to reach her full growth potential. Every day, Valerie is moved by the homes she represents – whether it be in enabling each home to become even more lovely through the process of readying it for market or enabling each client to find their dream home through the sales process. She is deeply committed to ensuring that each client has the best possible outcome and the best experience with the Krishnan team.
Valerie lives in Burlingame with her room-mate and enjoys dancing, boxing boot camps and the beauty and diversity of the Bay Area.
Lauren, is a dedicated buyer’s agent and loves what she does! Working with buyers takes a lot of hustle, patience, care, and hard work (especially in San Francisco) – all of which come naturally to Lauren. Not to mention, she comes from a realtor parent – the business is in her blood and it has always felt more like a deep-seated passion than a job.
Joining the Krishnan team from a top management consulting firm, Lauren brings a strong background in client services. For Lauren, there is nothing greater than actively listening to a client’s needs and going above and beyond to make sure they are met.
An avid runner and former college cross-country runner, she lives and breathes hard work, consistency, and grit in many aspects of her life. Lauren lives with her husband near the beach in the Outer Richmond, and can’t get enough of the sights and smells of the Pacific Ocean. She spends her free time training for ultra-distance races, watching every season of Survivor, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Lejla Ahmetspahic is at the organizational heart of the Krishnan team. She manages the listings, works with sellers, and implements all the details that make you successful.
Lejla grew up in the Bay Area and even today, is entirely in love with the diversity of its people, its small size that packs the punch of beauty with grit and ambition.
Communicative and a self described “people person”, Lejla grew up in the real estate world, helping within the family business of renovation and home sales. She got her real estate license while still in college, and her favorite part of her job is ensuring that the Krishnan team clients have their real estate wishes fulfilled.
Lejla speaks Bosnian – and her family arrived in the Bay area and established a home flipping business – so from understanding the value of a property to gauging its finishes to managing its curb appeal – Lejla has done it all, and will do it again and again to ensure client satisfaction for the Krishnan team.
Kathy is the Krishnan team’s listing coordinator and the team’s go-to girl for anything that needs to get done in a hurry. She manages listings, works with sellers, and assists the whole listing team with any and all details needed to make sure our clients have a smooth experience.
Kathy is a California native. Originally from southern California, she spent her formative years in the Bay Area and could not imagine living anywhere else. As a recent resident to the city of San Francisco, Kathy loves being able to explore and get to know the city in a whole new way. To Kathy, the Bay Area’s culture, people, sights, food and values are unmatched.
Kathy speaks Vietnamese; her family arrived in California as refugees after the Vietnam War and were determined to live the American dream. Today, they own a number of Vietnamese restaurants in the East Bay. Having grown up working in restaurants her whole life, Kathy knows what it means to work hard everyday to ensure customers are happy and takes that philosophy into real estate to make sure our clients have a stress free experience.
In her spare time, Kathy enjoys cooking, baking, musical theater and collecting plants.
Madeline Gibson is our newest team member joining as a Junior Buyer’s Agent. She is the support system for our three buyer’s agents and Ruth’s right hand. As a former Division 1 Collegiate Athlete, Maddy is no stranger to the fast pace, collaborative, and progressive environment that The Krishnan Team cultivates.
After graduating from UC Santa Barbara in 2019, she found herself working in technology sales, moved to processing and lending, before finding her way to real estate and The Krishnan Team. This is her first role in real estate and she couldn’t be more excited to be joining a top performing team to jump start her career.
Maddy maintains her sports fix by continuing to play soccer with old teammates weekly. When time allows, she enjoys traveling, concerts, and sporting events, especially for her favorite team, the Los Angeles Dodgers (the irony!).
Philanthropy and community involvement are very important to me. Through volunteer efforts and charitable donations I am committed to giving 5% of my income each year to a wide variety of local organizations and have been doing so since our very first sale.
From shelters to school arts programs, from food drives to counseling, we contribute to the organizations that make a positive difference in our community and beyond. If you have a favorite organization that you support please share it with me. Here are a few of our current recipients plus a couple of the Krishnan Team’s personal favorites:
