Yesenia highlight’s some of the best shopping in San Francisco. Like any city, San Francisco has its challenges. However, it’s still a popular place to visit and shop.
From the fashion have of Union Square to the indie boutiques in Hayes Valley and on Valencia Street to the chic and upscale Fillmore Street. We’ll cover it all today.
Our first stop on the Stylist Adventure today takes us to the heart of the fashion scene in San Francisco is Union Square. Union Square is a downtown of San Francisco featuring some of the best shops and boutiques that cater to any fashion trend.
The pedestrian friendly district is a harmonious blend of stunning historic architecture, world renowned boutiques and luxurious department stores. What makes Union Square’s truly special is its perfect integration with the city’s finest hotels, top notch restaurants and theaters. As you explore the streets of Union Square, you’ll find that everything is conveniently within walking distance, allowing you to indulge in a seamless shopping experience.
So we all have our vices, and one of my vices is definitely splurging on high end designer shoes and handbags. Some of my favorite places to go to find those are Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue here in Union Square.
I love Neiman Marcus and success because they have a fantastic selection of really beautiful shoes from Christian Louboutin, Jimmy Choo, Chanel, and some of my favorites are Amina Muaddi shoes. I love them so much because they do really, really fun designs with crystals and colors and you can actually wear them to work because one of their staple designs are a martini heel, that makes it really easy to walk in.
Zara’s another great place to stop and shop in Union Square. I love Zara because they have really sort of a high end look, but with really, really affordable prices. And let’s not forget about the incredible backdrop that accompanies your retail therapy, the iconic landmarks of San Francisco, including the charming cable cars, the vibrant Chinatown and the illustrious Nob Hill.
Aritzia is my absolute favorite store in downtown. I love it for staple pieces, and I can wear both to work and feel trendy for a night out with friends.
Let’s move over to Hayes Valley, located just west of Civic Center and within walking distance of Union Square, a sunny stretch of high end boutiques, many featuring local designers can be found here on Hayes Street, as the boutique is where you can find handmade jewelry by local designers.
Amour Vert specializes in eco-friendly, high fashion and for nontoxic beauty products check out Credo on Hayes Street for unisex skin care, hair grooming products all made with natural ingredients.
My favorite places to shop for really cool sweat pieces and jackets for more of a casual, everyday look is Aviator Nation, they have just the really coolest colors and the really bright and fun.
Also found on Hayes Street is Outdoor Voices one of my favorite places to shop for workout gear. They have really fun colors and patterns and it just really motivates me to get out there and move. For more on this popular destination, watch our Hayes Valley neighborhood video.
Fillmore Street in Pacific Heights is another standout shopping district. Fillmore Street is easily accessible on the 1 Muni bus from downtown. It boasts an array of chic boutiques that showcase exquisite designer pieces and high quality fashion. The neighborhood is synonymous with sophistication and style.
Rag’n’Bone is a great place to shop for tailored clothes that are modern and edgy. Alice + Olivia features contemporary design inspired by vintage and all things feminine.
Valencia Street for a more cutting edge scene home to high end shops and artsy boutiques, which is also easily accessible from downtown on BART, Valencia Street, truly embodies the spirit of independent fashion. It’s a place where art, culture and style converge to create a unique shopping experience.
Reformation on Valencia is another one of my favorites. You can find cute dresses and linen pieces that have fun cut outs and do collaborations with different brands. Everlane on Valencia has easy on the go men and women styles and their pieces are ethically made.
