"We had an exceptional experience working with Valerie to buy our home in San Francisco.
Before meeting Valerie, we interviewed several agents, and what immediately stood out about her was how thoughtful, detail-oriented, and strategic she was. As people in tech, we naturally gravitate toward clear reasoning and concrete guidance over vague optimism, and Valerie consistently delivered exactly that. Every time we asked her what she realistically thought a house would sell for or what a competitive offer strategy should look like, she came prepared with actual market reasoning, comps, and a clear point of view. More importantly, she was usually right, even when her estimates initially sounded unbelievable to us. That accuracy built a huge amount of trust over time.
One of Valerie’s biggest strengths is her ability to problem-solve creatively in competitive situations. There were a couple of homes where we knew our terms alone might not be the strongest, and instead of treating the process like a formula, she really collaborated with us to come up with thoughtful, situation-specific strategies. The house we ultimately purchased was one of those situations — she helped us structure a compelling preemptive offer and navigate the dynamics with the listing agent in a way that ultimately helped us win. Throughout the process, it always felt like she was thinking several steps ahead.
What we appreciated just as much was that she genuinely cared about helping us make good long-term decisions, not just helping us buy a house emotionally. While she absolutely respected what we were drawn to emotionally, she was also very good at grounding us in the more objective questions we should be asking: Would this home resell well? Which compromises are actually meaningful long term versus easily solvable? How should we think about the value of space, layout, location, or future flexibility? We learned an enormous amount during this process simply because Valerie took the time to educate us along the way.
Her design background was also surprisingly valuable during tours. She has an excellent eye for detail and repeatedly pointed out things we would have completely missed, both positive and negative.
Another thing we appreciated: despite leading a large and busy team, we never felt handed off or deprioritized. Valerie herself was consistently present — on tours, late-night disclosure reviews, strategy calls, texts, and negotiations. Even when we made last-minute requests or wanted to squeeze additional homes into a tour schedule, she always made us feel supported rather than like a burden.
Buying a house in the Bay Area can be overwhelming, but Valerie made the process feel organized, efficient, and surprisingly smooth. We honestly can’t imagine having gone through this process with anyone else, and we would recommend her without hesitation."
