Fun fact: Miraloma is home to the highest point in San Francisco where the Mt. Davidson cross resides (928 feet above sea level). Not so fun fact: Miraloma itself remains relatively unknown to even longtime San Franciscans. And that is perfectly OK with its residents who don’t mind that the area hasn’t become a destination neighborhood. It has gained recent attraction due to the desirability of Miraloma School and slightly better affordability then some northwestern neighborhoods. The area sits on the eastern edge of the city’s fog belt and it is chockfull of boxy homes that line the streets that snake and twist around the contours of the mountain. If you’re in the market for a no nonsense, safe and unpretentious neighborhood, this is your best bet.
